Today, we’ll enjoy a beautiful circular route through the very best of the Baix Empordà, linking its most iconic medieval villages with open countryside and coastal views. Quiet gravel lanes and secondary roads lead first toward Pals, where the hilltop old town overlooks rice fields stretching toward the sea. A gentle rise brings up to the Mas Pinell viewpoint, from where on a clear day we can spot the Medes Islands.
Turning inland, the landscape becomes a patchwork of orchards, cereals, and sunlit fields framed by the distant Gavarres hills. The route threads through timeless villages such as Fontclara and Ullastret, each rich in history and character. We’ll take a break at Púbol, where we can admire the castle that Dalí bought for his wife, Gala.
2pm: Lunch at Restaurant Can Bosch
After lunch, we’ll continue through La Bisbal, the Empordà’s ceramics hub, and Peratallada, one of the region’s best-preserved medieval towns. Rolling terrain and peaceful farm tracks create a steady rhythm of small climbs and flowing sections, offering variety without being overly demanding.
We’ll finish up at Mas Torrent for a well-deserved afternoon at leisure in our luxury hotel.
